Jammu, July 19: Chairman Public Health and Sanitation and PHE Committee, JMC, Arun Khanna today convened a general meeting of PHE Department at town hall wherein he stated that he among others he recently met Principal Secretary at Srinagar under the leadership of Mayor Jammu Rajinder Sharma and took approval of 26 tubewells under Amrit scheme .
The Chairman directed the concerned authorities to make a DPR of the project.
He asked the department to legalise all illegal connections in Jammu to avoid scarcity of water in future.
Apart from this, it has come into the notice of the Chairman that the progress of the construction work of tubewell in ward number 53 is not up to the mark.
Khanna asked the department to submit a detailed report in this regard.
During the meeting, Councillors, JMC and PHE officials were present.
