JAMMU, Oct 3: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Commissioner Dr Devansh Yadav today visited the Bawe Wali Mata temple at Bahu Fort to assess preparations for the upcoming Navratra festival.
Dr Yadav inspected key facilities, including sanitation, power, and water supply, to ensure smooth arrangements for the expected influx of devotees.
He emphasized maintaining cleanliness and ensuring uninterrupted services throughout the festival.
He also directed the JMC to deploy adequate staff and equipment to keep the area clean and functional, with special focus on garbage removal, park maintenance, and cleaning of lanes and drains.
Additionally, Dr Yadav reviewed ongoing projects by Jammu Smart City Limited, including the construction of a protection wall at ‘Har ki Paudi’.
He urged the executing agency to expedite the work to allow the next phase of drain construction.
During his visit, the Commissioner interacted with devotees to assess the services being provided at the temple.
Several senior JMC and JSCL officials accompanied him on the inspection.
