JMC Commissioner visits New Plot, interacts with JWAM members

JAMMU, July 1: Jammu Municipal Commissioner, K L Khajuria along with other concerned agencies visited New Plot and took stock of the grievances and problems of the people in connection with the ongoing work of sewerage on the Amphala- Janipur and adjourning areas.
Earlier a large number of traders, led by Sunil Dimple, president, Jammu West Assembly Movement held protest rally, blocked road on Amphalla, New Plot, Janipur High Court, Bantalab road, against ERA, NBCC, PWD and JMC which have made the life miserable in Jammu City and particularly the Jammu West Assembly constituency.
JMC Commissioner, K L Khajuria assured Sunil Dimple and protesters for the quality of the work and passed immediate directions to the PWD, ERA, PHE and PDD to do the needful at the earliest and assured the protestants, that work on the Amphalla Janipur High Court road will be completed within 10 days.
Sunil Dimple said, the substandard work was being done by the ERA and the PWD is not taking up the black topping work.
Dimple also alleged that the Government has no serious intention to construct fly overs at Rehari Chungi, Jewel Chowk and urged the Chief Minister to allocate funds to solve the traffic problem prevailing in the Jammu City.
