JAMMU, Oct 19: A team of Food Safety officers and field staff led by Health Officer Jammu Municipal Corporation inspected various prominent sweets and milk shops and checked milk and other eatables.
The shops and establishments were subjected to checking at Sanjay Nagar, Digiana, Nanak Nagar, Talab Tillo, Canal Road, Mast Garh, Pacca Danga, Kachi Chowni, Kucha Sabzi Mandi areas and checked about 2910 litre of milk and its quality was found to be satisfactory.
Besides two samples of Feniya were lifted and sent to Food Analyst for checking its quality.
The owners of food establishments were warned to ensure supply of pure and fresh quality of food to general public and also keep standard of hygienic conditions in their premises failing which strict action would be taken against them under law.
The general public was requested to cooperate with JMC and share information if they have regarding poor quality of food products.
