JAMMU, Apr 2: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Pritam Singh here today inaugurated lane and drain work at new Shanti Nagar in Ward 55.
A handout stated that the drains were in dilapidated condition since long and now the work will be completed at an expenditure of Rs. 12.90 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion Pritam Singh appealed the public to come forward and cooperate with JMC in various development works undertaken by the Corporation within Jammu city.
He urged upon the residents to avoid single use plastic and polythene in routine work and stop throwing debris, garbage and filth in drains and lanes.
The Councillor also asked the public to adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their-own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean, green and beautiful city.
Locals including Omkar Singh Jamwal, Ratan Lal, Sanji Ram, Yashpul, Ashok Kumar, Sanjay Raina, S.K Raina and other were also present on the occasion.
