JMC Councillor starts lane-drain work

JAMMU, Apr 24: Ward-73 Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Prof. Youdhvir Singh today started construction work of lanes and drains at Gurudwara Singh Sabha, Lower Gadigarh.
The project involves construction of drains, road blacktopping and tile laying with an estimated cost of Rs. 6.5 lakh.
With the beginning of construction work, the long pending demand of public of the area got fulfilled.
The programme was organized under the supervision of Mohinder Singh and the prominent person who attended were S. Paramjit Singh, S. Upkar Singh, S. Gurvinder Singh, S. Ranbir Singh, S. Inderjit Singh, Lambardar Khazan Singh, Harjot Singh, S. Charanjit Singh (SDM retd.), S. Rasbir Singh, Manjot Singh and contractor S. Sohan Singh.
Prof Youdhvir Singh while addressing the gathering assured that remaining lanes and drains will be upgraded in near future and instructed the JE concerned to prepare estimates in this regard at an earliest.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks by S. Upkar Singh.
