JAMMU, Aug 9: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Jagdish Kumar Sharma of Ward 2, today inaugurated developmental works in Jullaka Mohalla here.
Accompanied by some senior citizens and youth including Barinder Magotra, Varinder Raina, Sonu Bhardwaj, Dr Pawan Dogra, Sunil Dogra, Panku Sharma, Durgesh Sharma and Vivek Gupta, the Councillor visited Jullaka Mohalla, Jain Bazaar, Mubarak Mandi and other areas of his Ward and listened grievances of locals there regarding poor water and power supply, sanitation and cleanliness.
In Mubarak Mandi area near Golghar, the Councillor started repair work of lane-drain at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.22 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Jagdish Kumar said that it was a long pending demand of the locals of the area as lanes-drains of the area were in dilapidated condition.
Later, the Councillor inaugurated the recently completed deep drain behind Army Headquarters Building at Mubarak Mandi complex.
He said the work has been completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 2 lakh and hoped that with the completion of this work, sanitation issue of the area will be resolved completely.
