JMC Councillor starts park beautification work

JAMMU, Sept 23: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Pritam Singh along with Executive Member of J&K Cooperative Society, Ward president, Omkar Singh Jamwal and JE Khalid here today inaugurated park beautification work in Sector-B of Sainik Colony (Ward-55) Kunjwani at the cost of Rs 8 lakh.
A handout stated that the Parks were in bad condition since long.
The JMC Councillor while addressing the media appealed general public to come forward and cooperate with JMC in various development works undertaken by the Corporation in Jammu city.
He urged upon the gathering to avoid single use plastics, polythene in routine work and shun the habit of throwing debris, garbage filth etc in the public park.
Singh asked the public to adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean, green and beautiful city.
Those who were present on the occasion were Ravinder Singh Sodan, Satish Sharma, Sanjay Kumar, Davinder Singh, Ravinder Singh Risam and others.
