JAMMU, Oct 4: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Ritu Choudhary along with Ex-En, R.K Mahajan, AEE, JE and others here today inaugurated beautification work of the Park at crematorium in Ward 7 (Joji Gate).
A handout stated that the work will be completed at an expenditure of Rs 15 lakh.
The Park was in very bad shape with wild growth including bushes grown there.
Talking to reporters, Ritu Choudhary appealed the general public to come forward and co-operate JMC in development works undertaken by the Corporation within Jammu city.
She urged upon the locals of the Ward to avoid single use plastic and polythene in their routine work and shun the habit of throwing debris, garbage, filth etc in public Park.
The JMC Councillor further asked the people to adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean and a beautiful city.
Locals present on the occasion were Joyti Devi, Anil Kumar, Joginder Sharma, Vishal Gupta, Bittu, Chanchla Devi, Rajkumari, Surna Devi and others.
