JAMMU, Apr 2: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Ward 51 and BJP leader, Raj Kumar Tarkhan here today started road blacktopping work at Panchayat Narwal Bala.
Speaking on the occasion Tarkhan said that substandard work was going on in Panchayat Narwal Wala and the locals were complaining against the same to which the concerned officials paid no heed.
He claimed that after a protest the grievances of the locals there were heard by the authorities and the quality of works under UEED was improved.
Ramesh Kumar (Panju) Panch, Sham Lal (Bittu) Panch, Jagdish Raj Proch, Subash Sharma, Girdhari Lal, Ram Lal, Devraj, Tarsem Lal, Sanjay Kumar, Bhamu Ram, Mirza Bhagat, Vijay Kumar, Om Prakash, Mitu Verma, Joginder Pal, Ashwani Sharma, Yash Pal, Satish Kumar and others were also present on the occasion.
