JAMMU, Sept 15: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Amit Gupta of Ward 19 here today started blacktopping work at Chuna Bhati Market of Warehouse.
Warehouse Market Association president, Deepak Gupta and other prominent citizens of Ward 19 were also present on the occasion.
A handout stated that the blacktopping work is being executed by Public Works Department in presence of AEE, JE, contractor and the JMC Councillor.
After this the Councillor along with AEE and JE also visited Ward 19 and its adjoining localities and met locals who raised issues of public importance such as construction and renovation of pending lanes-drains, blacktopping of main as well as interior roads etc.
JMC Councillor, Amit Gupta assured the locals that all their genuine demands will be redressed in a time-bound manner.
He informed that development work was going on at Lajpat Nagar near GGM Science College in the Ward at a good speed with the cooperation of AEE, JE and people from the area.
