JAMMU, Jan 30: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Amit Gupta today inaugurated tile work at Sant Market in Ward-19.
A handout stated that the work will be completed at a cost of Rs. 11 lakh.
The already laid tiles had become dilapidated and locals, especially, the elders were facing problems while passing through these lanes.
Talking to reporters Amit Gupta said the general public should to come forward and cooperate with JMC in various development works.
He urged upon the locals to avoid single use plastic and polythene in routine works and don’t throw debris, garbage, filth etc in the public drains and lanes.
Gupta also appealed to the locals to adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean and a beautiful city.
Locals present on the occasion were Dr. Taran Singh, president Namdhari Sangat J&K; Gurdev Singh, Tajinder Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Neeraj Gupta, Kamal, Shammi Mehra and others.
