JAMMU, Oct 5: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Ritu Choudhary of Ward 7 here today started tile work on lanes in Jogi Gate.
A handout stated that the work will be accomplished at an expenditure of Rs. 10 lakh.
Earlier the lanes were in dilapidated condition since long and the residents there were facing a lot of problems while passing through these lanes.
The Councillor while addressing the media appealed general public to come forward and co-operate JMC in various development works undertaken by the Corporation in Jammu city.
She urged upon the residents to avoid single use plastic and polythene in routine work and shun the habit of throwing debris, garbage and filth in public drains and lanes.
Ritu Choudhary further said that the people should adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean and beautiful city.
Locals including Vishal, Vikas and others were also present on the occasion.
