JAMMU, July 10: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) councillors and Sarpanch of various Panchayats while highlighting the public grievances also expressed their satisfaction over the initiative taken by district administration under Sushma Chouhan, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu to hold online e public darbars.
State convener of BJP, Urban Local Bodies Cell and JMC councillor Ward No. 41, Sanjay Kumar Baru while addressing a press conference along with JMC councillors Sucha Singh, Sat Pal Karlupia, Neelam Nargotra, Mohinder Kumar and Sarpanch Pritpal Singh said that the public darbars organised by DC Jammu will go a long way to sort out the public issues.
Sanjay Baru said that they met DC Jammu and discussed the issues with her.
Baru said in the meeting with DC he laid stress on road widening project of Talab Tillo from Jewel Chowk -Canal to Patta Chungi Bohri, solving the drainage and road problem of KC Hazuri Bagh, removal of illegal dairy at State land at Wazir Lane, Bohri, replacement of old pipes in Talab Tillo, Bohri, construction of new overhead tank near Wazir Lane Tube Well, Shifting of electric poles in Kamla Palace to ensure blacktopping on link road, Talab Tillo.
He also demanded early construction of irrigation channel from BSF Paloura to Kabir Colony, Talab Tillo, Jammu.
JMC Councillor W.No. 31, Sucha Singh laid stress on widening of link road from Bhagwati Nagar to Gole Pulli which is causing lot of obstruction in the Puran Nagar and adjoining areas, illegal encroached park in between NITCO lane and Rama Lane opposite Gurdwara, Talab Tillo and grant of ownership right to poor allottees of JDA land.
JMC councillor W.No 32, Sat Pal Karlupia laid stress on shifting of PHE stations to special industry line and black topping in W.No. 32.
JMC councillor, W.No. 40, Neelam Nargotra laid stress on construction of community hall at Government land near Poonch House, Talab Tillo, Jammu, reduction in school fee, grant of ownership rights to the poor who were allotted plots by Social Welfare Department 40 years ago.
JMC Councillor W.No. 61, Mohinder Kumar demanded construction and disilting of main nallah and irrigation channels and sub- channels in the area, compensation to the shopkeepers and residents of Paloura who had suffered due to four lanning of Akhnoor road.
Sarpanch Pyt. Gole Gujral, Pritpal Singh demanded black topping of roads and lanes in Gole Gujral Panchayat, establishment new Police Station at Gole Gujral and beautification of canal and park in the area.
Deputy Commissioner Jammu has assured to solve all genuine demands, they added.
