JAMMU, Dec 4: BJP senior leader and JMC Councilor, Sanjay Kumar Baru here today inaugurated repair work of drains at Wazir Lane area in Ward 41.
Speaking on the occasion, Baru said that construction of all the damaged drains will be done in Colonel Colony, Anand Vihar, Anand Nagar, Surya Vihar and Hazuri Bagh area of Ward 41 in phased manner.
He said that he was trying to get these works done but due to non-availability of funds, these works got delayed.
Baru hailed Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) for allotting funds to the tune of Rs. 25 lakh and further added that the work for repairing drains is being executed at a cost of Rs 4.80 lakh.
He urged upon the locals that efforts should be made to stop drainage water coming on roads through ramps or otherwise so that newly constructed roads may not get damaged again.
BJP leader Baru, who is also BJP JK UT Convener of Urban Local Bodies Cell also urged upon the voters to vote BJP candidate in the ongoing DDC elections to ensure the overall development of J&K.
BJP Ward President, Ashok Wazir; District BJP Vice President, Jaideep Samyal; Mandal General Secretary, Vinod Wazir and JMC JE, S. Gurcharan Singh along with Mohan Lal Gupta, Rajesh Thakur, Varinder Raina, Rakesh Sharma, Jugal Sharma, S. Jangjit Singh, Jitendra Khajuria, Rakesh Duggal, S. Harbans Singh Hemraj Gupta, Vijay Gupta, Sanjay Sharma, Vicky and others were also present on the occasion.
