JMC demolishes encroachments

JAMMU, May 3: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today demolished encroachments raised by people in different areas.
Chief Enforcement Officers and other field staff of Enforcement Wing on the directions of Commissioner, JMC Kiran Wattal conducted an extensive anti-encroachment drive.
The team demolished the unauthorized construction of Afzal Shah at Mohalla Baba Jeevan Shah raised by encroaching the part of the lane.
The team also demolished the fabricated bridge over the nallah raised by Ashok Kumar Gupta, proprietor Diamond Hotel, a resident of Rani Mandir, Jammu by encroaching the road and nallah.
Besides this, the team also removed the encroachments from footpaths/pavements at Indira Chowk and seized the articles/goods displayed on footpath by the shopkeepers.
The drive has been conducted with the help of police force from Police Station Peer Mitha, Nowabad Police Station and District Police Lines.
