JAMMU, May 18: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today demolished an illegal structure at Gujjar Nagar.

Acting on the directions of Commissioner, JMC, Avny Lavasa, a team of Enforcement Wing of the Corporation led by Enforcement Officers, Rajesh Gupta and Kamini Kesar demolished an illegal structure belonging to one Abdul Qareem at Gujjar Nagar, Jammu.
Rajesh Gupta informed that the action was taken under Control of Building Operation Act as the structure was made in violation of all rules and without getting building permission from the JMC. He said the owner of the structure was served 2 back to back notices but as he did not respond to the notices, the action in the form of demolition of the building was taken this evening.
The demolition process was done with the help of the Peer Mitha police led by SHO Inayat Ali while other officers and officials of the Enforcement Wing of the JMC were also present on the occasion.
