JAMMU, Apr 16: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) here today demanded dissolution of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) as it has ‘failed to perform’ and ‘garbage dumps have increased in the city’.
JWAM president, Sunil Dimple visited various localities of Jammu West Assembly constituency and interacted with the traders and residents who expressed concern over the poor sanitation and no blacktopping of roads.
He said that he along with traders will stage a protest demonstration against JMC, PWD R&B and ERA on April 18.
He alleged that infighting among officers of JMC, Mayor and Corporators is responsible for the worst insanitation in the Jammu City.
Dimple also claimed that no development has taken place in Jammu West Assembly Constituency in the last five years of BJP Government.
Jagdish Raj Gupta, Ramesh Chander Mahjan, Subam Kumar, Viju Gupta, Kal Singh, Sham Saroop, Raji Khjuria, Pinka, Happy and many others accompanied Dimple during the visit.
