JMC installs five more sanitizing tunnels

JAMMU, Apr 11: In its endeavour to fight against Covid-19 Pandemic, on the directions of Avny Lavasa, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) has successfully installed five more disinfectant tunnels at various locations in Jammu city area these include  Government Chest Disease Hospital, Bakshi Nagar Jammu, Government, Hospital Sarwal, Government Psychiatric Disease Hospital, Yatri Bhawan & JMC  Town Hall Complex, Jammu   so as to provide protection to the doctors, paramedical staff & health care workers and employees engaged in emergency services to fight against COVID -19 Pandemic.
This will also help in minimizing the chances of further spread & control of corona virus among the community.
In the days to come JMC will also install such tunnels on many other locations as well where foot fall is quite high endangering further spread and transmission of the virus.  Next target would be Red Zone area like, Bathindi naka opposite Wave Mall, Gorkhanagar, Narwal Mandi, Warehouse etc.
Commissioner, JMC also appealed the general public at large to avoid major gatherings in public places and make use of alcohol based sanitizers and masks as preventive measure to do away with this menace and also to extend their full cooperation to JMC so that Corona virus can be stopped from spreading.
Meanwhile in order to extend cooperation to GMC in its fight against the dreaded COVID-19 the corporator Ward No 44, Nanak Nagar, Inder Singh Soodan has kept his tractor along with driver at the disposal of JMC for sprinkling in various wards of JMC. Besides, the diesel used in the tractor will also be provided by the corporator from his own pocket.
Today the corporator started fuming work at Ajit Nagar Gadigarh of Ward No 73. The gesture has been lauded by the people of the area.
