JAMMU, Oct 10: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) in collaboration with J&K Bank launched beautification drive of City of Temples with an objective to project the cultural heritage and the historical importance of Jammu and Kashmir.
The beautification drive was inaugurated with first brush stroke on the wall near Brigadier Rajinder Singh Chowk by Divisional Commissioner Jammu Sanjeev Verma and Chairman-cum-Chief Executive Officer J&K Bank Parvaiz Ahmed in presence of Deputy Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar and Commissioner JMC Arvind Kotwal. Executive President J&K Bank RK Chibber and President J&K Bank Sunil Gupta were also present on the occasion.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu stressed upon all officers to put in collective efforts to enhance aesthetic of City of Temples.
Commissioner JMC said that the drive will be carried out further in various parts of Jammu City.
Among others present were Pardeep Singh, Joint Commissioner JMC, Sunaina Sharma, Secretary, JMC, Prem Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Joginder Sharma, CAO, JMC, Prabodh Sharma, Executive Engineer (C), Arun Gupta, Executive Engineer (T), Dr Saleem Khan, Health Officer, JMC, Zaffar Iqbal, MVO, JMC, Talat Mehmood Khan, Chief Transport Officer JMC, revenue and sanitation officers of JMC and other staff of Bank and JMC.
