JMC launching COVID vaccination drive for priority group: Mayor

JAMMU, May 25: Jammu Municipal Corporation is launching COVID-19 vaccination drive for the priority group (in the age group 18-45) comprising of shopkeepers of all categories, their helpers and street vendors including milkmen and plumbers of various markets, from tomorrow (Wednesday).
This was stated by Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor JMC while addressing a press conference in presence of Advocate Purnima Sharma Deputy Mayor and Avny Lavasa, Commissioner JMC, at Town Hall complex, Jammu. Gupta disclosed that the vaccination will be done on five identified locations—Urban Health Post (Talab Khatikan), Primary Health Centre (Yatri Niwas, Bhagwati Nagar), Primary Health Centre (Shastri Nagar), Day Care Centre (Roop Nagar, Jammu) and Urban Health Centre (Mubarak Mandi).
It was informed that Dr Sanjogita Soodan, Health Officer, JMC will be the Nodal Officer for the drive. The Mayor said that the Market associations will be actively involved in this drive so as to ensure maximum coverage of identified priority group.
