JAMMU, Jan 31: Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor , Jammu Municipal Corporation, attended the `Mayors on Disaster Management’, a special feature event in the 4th World Congress on Disaster Management at Mumbai.
Mayors from different Municipal Corporations, including Srinagar Municipal Corporation and other parts of India as well as from various countries such as Nepal, Indoensia etc attended the convention. The participating Mayors shared their views about disaster management and on other related matters in their respective cities and put forth their suggestions for its proper management.
The convention, organized by All India Institute of Local Self Government (AIILSG) in collaboration with Relief & Rehabilitation Department Mantralya Mumbai, was particularly very beneficial for Northern as well as North Eastern States.
