JAMMU, Jan 30: Civic Safai Karamchari Union here today staged a protest demonstration and raised demands.
The protest was held under the leadership of Rinku Gill, Union president.
The protesters demanded releasing the list of 600 Safai Karamcharis whose practical and physical tests have been conducted in the years 2019 and 2021.
They also demanded settlement of pending cases of SRO-43 in JMC.
The protesters demanded DPC of all employees of JMC on existing rules till the new recruitment rules are issued and said that 75 per cent quota should be kept reserved for departmental promotions for all cadres of JMC.
Other demands included allotment of new colonies for SKCs working with JMC as the existing colonies are thickly populated.
Enhancement of wages of unskilled, skilled and highly skilled labourers was also demanded.
