JAMMU, Oct 19: Civic Safai Karamchari Union, Jammu Municipal Corporation, led by its President Rinku Gill, has threatened stir, if their long pending demands are not considered by the Government authorities.
Talking to media persons, here today, Rinku Gill highlighted demands of the Union, including completion of recruitment process of pending 600 SKCs posts, which were advertised by JMC in 2018. Even as Physical and Practical tests for these posts were also conducted during the year 2019 and 2021, the final selection list is still pending, he said and demanded that the final selection list should be released soon.
Rinku Gill also demanded settlement of pending cases of SRO-43 in JMC, conduct of DPC of all cadres of employees of JMC, finalization of Recruitment Rules of JMC, amendment in the rules for 50 percent quota for departmental promotion in all the cadres of JMC, allotment of new colonies for SKC workers in JMC, regularization of all colonies of Safaikaramcharies, implementation of old pension scheme in favour of all employees of JMC as the Govt of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan have already implemented the same and 2 and half day salary to all field Sanitation Staff.
“These are genuine demands of the Union and if the same are not met, we will have no option other than to go for the agitation path,” he said and announced dharna on October 25, 2024, which may be followed by `Kam Chhor Hartal’ in future.
Other members of the Union were also present in the press conference.
