JAMMU, Mar 10: Jammu Municipal Corporation today sealed two meat shops in city and its outskirts.
Acting tough against illegal slaughtering of animals in the different areas of the Jammu city, Municipal Veterinary Officer/ Zonal Officer-II (Sanitation), Dr Zafar Iqbal along with field staff, on the directions of Commissioner, JMC, Mandeep Kaur, conducted a special meat drive in the areas of Janipur and Company Bagh near MAM Stadium and sealed two shops—one at Company Bagh and other at Hyderapura, Janipur for illegal slaughtering of animals.
The team inspected numerous meat shops and warned those who were found selling of un-stamped/sub-standard meat. The team also directed the shopkeepers to ensure the proper hygienic environment within their shop premises and surroundings.
