JAMMU, Oct 18: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today seized 17 kilograms of polythene carry bags and imposed fine of Rs 10,900 on defaulters.
The team of Food Safety Officers, Assistant Sanitation Officers and other field staff of JMC inspected various food establishments.
The team lifted 13 different kinds of sweetmeats samples and sent it to Food Analyst for analysis to ascertain its standard of purity. Moreover about 1 quintals of sweets found under unhygienic conditions were also destroyed on spot.
The team also seized 17 kilograms of polythene carry bags and imposed fine of Rs 10,900 on defaulters.
