JAMMU, Aug 1: Jammu Municipal Corporation today raided various shops and seized around 19 kg ‘Single Use Plastic’ from various vendors in city and its outskirts.
The drive was conducted by a team of Health Section of JMC along with Sanitation Officers, Assistant Sanitation Officers, Sanitary Inspectors, Sanitary Supervisors, to check the illegal use of ‘Single use Plastic’/polythene.
The team randomly checked various establishments in Prem Nagar, Toph Sherkhania, Patta Paloura, Udheywala, Bohri, Channi Himmat and Trikuta Nagar areas from where approximately 19 kg ‘Single use plastic’/polythene was seized and a fine to the tune of Rs 26,700 was imposed to the erring shopkeepers.
