JAMMU, Aug 30: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) continued anti-encroachment drive, here today.
On the instructions of Commissioner JMC M Raju, the anti-encroachment drive was conducted in the areas viz Akhnoor Road, Talab Tillo, Paloura, University Road and Narwal Mandi Road.
During the drive, JMC officials removed the illegal rehries causing traffic congestion and obstructions for free movement of pedestrians on footpaths.
The drive was conducted under the supervision of Joint Commissioner (A) JMC Rajesh Sharma. Assistant Commissioner Revenue Veenakshi Koul, revenue officers of JMC and other enforcement staff of JMC were also the part of the drive.
The team seized 42 illegal rehries plying without licence causing traffic congestion and obstruction for free movement of pedestrians.
