JAMMU, Nov 6: In the ongoing anti-polythene drive by Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Health Wing of the Urban Local Body here today seized the banned single use polythene bags and fined the erring traders. The drive was carried out at Talab Tillo under the supervision of ASO Zone-1, Vijay Kumar with officials Vivek Sood and Sunny Khokhar.
The drive was held under the overall supervision of JMC Health Officer, Dr. Vinod Sharma.
During the drive shops and other business outlets were raided and more than 5 kg of banned single use polythene bags were seized from eight shops and two Rehris.
Rs. 4500 fine was also imposed on the erring traders using the banned polythene bags.
