JAMMU, Nov 2: Jammu Municipal Corporation has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with All India Institute of Local Self Government (AIILSG) signed a memorandum of understanding.
The MoU was signed in presence of Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor, JMC, Advocate Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor, JMC, Baldev Singh Baloria Chairman, Public Health Sanitation Committee, Pankaj Magotra, Commissioner, JMC, Ashish Kumar Gupta, Joint Commissioner (Adm), Sunaina Sharma, Secretary, JMC, Prem Singh, Assistant Commissioner (Rev), JMC, Ravi Ranjan Guru, Deputy Director General, AIILSG, KB Magotra, Regional Director, AIILSG Jammu, Jaspal Singh, Joint Commissioner (Works), Joginder Sharma, Chief Accounts Officer, JMC, Suresh Gupta, Health Officer, JMC, Er Mohit Mahajan, Executive Engineer (C), JMC, Rakesh Gupta, Special Assistant to Commissioner, JMC, Dr Zaffar Iqbal, MVO, JMC, Er Talat Mehmood, CTO, JMC and other officers and officials of JMC.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India is implementing several flagship urban missions and schemes for the overall development of the urban sector. Successful roll out of these ambitious missions in States and cities requires large scale capacities for planning, design, procurement, implementation and management of stakeholders.
Recognizing such a need for capacity building of technical functionaries and elected representatives involved in the implementation of these Missions, the MoHUA is implementing an Integrated Capacity Building Framework covering all the missions. AIILSG is empanelled agency of Ministry of Housing and Urban Development Government of India has been dealing with several flagship urban mission and schemes for overall development of urban sector.
In this MoU, all the sanitary wing of JMC employees viz Officers, Sanitary Inspectors and Sanitary Supervisors are going for the training which is very useful in developing the Smart City and implementation of Solid Waste Management in the Jammu City.
AIILSG is giving the training to minimum 15 participants and maximum 30 and for this JMC will depute the employees accordingly.
