JAMMU, June 24: The members of the Solid Waste Management team of JMC held an awareness programme and practical demonstration regarding Solid Waste Management at EWS Colony, Lower Roop Nagar Ward No 66, here today.
Master Jorawar Singh gave a detailed lecture on the solid waste management.
He made the people aware as to how to prepare compost from organic waste of the homes. People carefully listened the speaker and assured to give it a practical shape.
The attendants were shown containers of Blue and Green colours to collect organic and inorganic waste of their home in separate manner.
It is pertinent to mention here that such initiatives are taken up by the team of JMC to change the behavior of the people with regard to the management of the solid waste.
The JMC was represented by the team members namely Ashwani Kumar and Ved Pal Sharma, besides other members who installed the banners and the posters.
