JAMMU, July 12: A delegation of Jammu Muslim Front (JMF) today called on Divisional Commissioner Jammu, M K Bandhari at his office chamber and discussed prevailing situation in the region.
The delegation, led by JMF general secretary cum spokesperson Shuja Zaffar discussed prevailing situation, especially in view of growing encroachment on the bank of Ranbir Canal and Khokas being constructed close to the BC Road flyover.
During their meeting, Shuja Zaffar appreciated Divisional Commissioner for prompt response of the administration whenever the situation turns hostile in Jammu.
“Some elements are hell bent to disrupt peace in Jammu for one reason or other. They should be checked and administration in future too should check that such a situation may not arise,” Shuja said.
Zaffar appealed Government to subsidize the holiday package to Valley as this will encourage the social fabric of communal harmony and built an atmosphere of trust.
The Front leader also urged the Divisional Commissioner to ensure that a pious, honest and corruption free atmosphere in maintained by Public Servants in Government offices.
He demanded that punishment should be given to all those who encourage nepotism and corruption in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Divisional Commissioner assured the delegation a healthy responsive district administration.
Among those, who were part of delegation, included Rashid Ahmed, Bashir Ahmed, and Haneef Choudary.
