JAMMU, June 24: Jagti Migrants Welfare Movement (JMWM), has expressed grave concern over delaying the release of ration for the month of May and June to relief holders.
In a statement issued here, today president of the JMWM, Sunil Pandita said, the unnecessary delay in releasing the ration by the concerned authorities has put the migrants to grave hardships especially those who are totally dependent on cash doles from the Government.
Pandita said it is not known why the ration is not being released in time. He made an appeal to Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Dr Arvind Karwani seeking his immediate intervention in the matter. Pandita also said that the migrant pensioners and class fourth employees who were earlier provided ration on cash payment have also been denied the same for months together which is a cause of concern. He wanted to know the cause of this step motherly treatment of Government with displaced people from Valley.
