JAMMU, Dec 7: Two Job fairs, one each in Jammu and Baramulla, were organized today under Himayat Mission Management Unit (HMMU). A total of 55 candidates in Jammu and 93 candidates in Baramulla trained under Himayat Programme took part in these job fairs.
Representatives of 12 employers including-Color Master, Care Master, Selfie Saloon, Kanchan Beauty Parlour, Simran Boutique, Mascot Saloon, TVIL Private Limited, Golden Oaks, Computer Hub, Hotel Lupin, Jamkash Vehicles Private Limited, Statista Book Keeping, Natural Life Care Centre Private Limited, etc. participated in the two job fairs.
Job Fair at Baramulla was inaugurated by Prithpal Singh Oberoi (president, Municipal Committee Pattan) in presence of Aijaz Ahmad Kakroo, Superintendent, Government ITI, Pattan, among others. President, MC Pattan and Superintendent, ITI Pattan while interacting with candidates stressed upon having job oriented attitude for achieving success in their careers. They encouraged them to give their best in the interviews and wished them well for their future endeavors.
Besides, the events were also attended by the representative from the Department of Employment, Local Administration, Sarpanch along with other PRI members, HMMU Staff, District Programme Manager UMEED JKRLM, Project Officers (NIRD&PR), NABCONS and representatives of various Project Implementing Agencies.
Earlier also, job fairs were organized in Anantnag and Jammu on 5th December, wherein 15 companies attended and over 160 candidates participated in the events. The companies participated were-Airtel, SBI Card, La Pinoz Pizza, Pizza Milano (Anantnag) Dominos, V-mart, employers from Hospitality Sector and Telecom like Kyber Resorts and SPA, Raddison (Pahalgam), Tenon FM outsource, Hotel Hill Top (Gulmarg/Pahalgam), Ecom Express, The Chinar, etc.
Himayat-DDUGKY is a flagship skill development cum placement program of Union Ministry of Rural Development. Himayat-DDUGKY is implemented in Private-Public -Partnership (PPP) mode by Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) which are empanelled with Union Ministry of Rural Development. The objective of the program is to impart skill training and employment to unemployed youth of J&K.
