JAMMU, Dec 9: Deepmala Sharma, Teacher of Jodhamal Public School has been awarded Global Teacher Accreditation Award by British Council in the award ceremony recently held in Delhi.
More than 650 Principals, Vice Principals, Practising teachers, Head of the Departments, Coordinators of various schools from different states of the country filled the applications out of which 216 were short listed for the action research.
The Global Teacher Accreditation project aims to provide high quality professional training. Deepmala worked on the project and her topic of research was “Enhancing student’s performance and interest in Social Science through Collaborative Learning”. She is the only teacher from J&K to receive this prestigious award. Deepmal was mentored by Seema Jairath of the DPS, DLF, Gurgaon.
