Jodhamal wins JASC 14th Annual English Debate, KC Gurukul Inter-School Hindi Debate

JAMMU, Nov 24: The 14th Annual Inter school Debate Competition conducted by the Jammu Adventure Sports Club (JASC) was held at Jodhamal Public School (JMPS), here today. The topic for the debate was “Are we happier than our ancestors”.
26 participants from over—13 leading schools took part in the lively session.
Chief guest for the day was Narinder Tripathi, Dean of DSW, University of Jammu. The guest of honour was Trilok Singh Bist, Principal Jodhamal Public School. The members of Jury were Prof  Ekta Gupta, Bhawna Sethi and Ridema Bhagat. The convener of the Debating Committee was Sarla Kohli.
Jodhamal Public School won the overall champion in the JASC Debate. Heritage School was runner up. Abhilasha Verma was adjudged the best speaker and Ayushi Thakur bagged the 2nd Position they both represented Jodhamal Public School. This was fourth year in a row that Jodhamal won this trophy, so the JASC in consultation with Principal Jodhamal decided to award the trophy to the runner-up team.
Meanwhile, the Inter-School Hindi Debate was organized by K C Gurukul School on the topic was “Kaya Larke-Larkeyn Ki Parvarish Ek Saman Honi Chahiye”. The team members comprised of Shivang Puri and Muskaan Puri students of Jodhamal Public School who brought accolades to the institution. In this debate also Jodhamal School was declared as the overall champion.
The teacher incharge for English Debate was Arshia Malik and for Hindi Debate was Leelawati Bist.
