SAMBA, Nov 17: Sarabjit Singh Johal, president BJP Kissan Morcha, J&K and member of District Development Council (DDC) Ramgarh kick started the development work of protection wall, lane and drain work at village Kamor, Panchayat Lagwal in Block Ramgarh, district Samba today.
These development works were started with an estimated cost of Rs 5 lakh in presence of Sarpanch, Dr Kuldeep Raj, Naib Sarpanch, Parveen Choudhary and Rohit Choudhary.
In his address on the occasion, Sarabjit Singh Johal said that this demand for protection wall, lane and drain construction had been pending for a long time. He said that with the commencement of the work a long pending demand of the people of this village has been fulfilled today. On completion of this work the people will get benefited, he added.
The DDC member expressed his profound gratitude to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi led BJP Government for continuously providing funds for the developmental works at Panchayat level, due to which works are going on unhindered in the Panchayats at a rapid pace. He said that steps are being taken continuously for the development of rural areas under the Modi led Government at the Centre which is making the requisite funds available for the Panchayats.
Later, Sarabjit Singh Johal also interacted with the people of the area who conveyed to him their problems and issues. After hearing them he assured to take up the issues with the concerned authorities and get the same addressed at the earliest.
