John Legend to produce hip-hop contest show

LOS ANGELES, Sept 13:  Singer John Legend is venturing into production with Netflix to back a new unscripted hip-hop competition series, “Rhythm & Flow”.
The news comes after WGN America’s series “Underground”, which was produced by the 38-year-old musician was recently cancelled, reported Variety.
Legend will be joined by former NBC exec Jeff Gaspin and his Primary Wave Entertainment to produce the new show.
With “Rhythm & Flow”, Netflix is venturing into the talent discovery format, following the example of “American Idol” and “The X Factor”.
No further details about have surfaced about the show and it is unclear about Legend’s role in the competition series, aside from his producer credit. (PTI)
