JAMMU, July 9: A three-day workshop on public speaking was conducted by former IGP, Johnny William, here at Scottish Hall, from July 7 to July 9.
A press statement said that the workshop was organised to address the growing need for effective communication skills, especially in the face of advancing technology. William recognized the challenges that youth face in job situations and during interviews and he aimed to help them harness the power of effective speech in their own unique way.
William’s approach to teaching public speaking, it said, is based on time-tested techniques, extensive research, expertise, and decades of rich experience in the field.
“His goal is to empower participants to become confident and articulate speakers,” read the statement.
The first batch of the workshop received a positive response, with a good number of participants from various fields attending the sessions.
