RAYA (Vijaypur), Aug 21: Reaffirming his commitment to work for the upliftment and betterment of the people, Vikramaditya Singh today said that his aim of joining politics was to work for strengthening unity among different regions and sub-regions of the State.
“It is high time to frustrate designs of those forces which are indulged in propagating divisive politics”, Vikramaditya said, while addressing an impressive public meeting at Raya village in support of party candidate for Vijaypur assembly segment, Dr Harmesh Singh.
Without naming any political party, Vikramaditya Singh, (son of Dr Kaan Singh), regretted that for petty political gains some forces have been brazenly indulged into politics of division. “Politics being propagated by the divisive forces is a biggest challenge for right thinking people of J&K”, he cautioned and asserted that PDP with the support of people would frustrate designs of divisive forces.
Mr Singh availed this opportunity to remind the gathering that his grand-father Maharaja Hari Singh had worked for unity and integrity of the State.
Exhorting youth to shoulder responsibility of bringing change in J&K, Vikramaditya said that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has decided to channelize energy of the youth to set up a new system of justice and equality in the State.
“Our politics is for inclusive development, balanced growth and over-all betterment of each and every sections of the society”, he said and assured the gathering that PDP would formulate a comprehensive vision document to address grievances of all regions and sub-regions of the State.
Assuring that PDP under the leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is going to change political discourse of J&K, he reminded the gathering that during this tenure as Chief Minister Mufti Sayeed had carved out a path of balanced and equitable development in the State. “As a Chief Minister, Mufti Sayeed had proved how to bring transparency and accountability in the governance”, he reminded.
Yashpal Sharma (MLC), Hamid Choudhary, Maj Gen (retd) RS Jamwal, Saleem Choudhary, Jitender Bhat, Maj Gen (retd) Goverdhan Singh Jamwal, Maj Gen (retd) J S Jamwal, Rajender Singh Jamwal, Satpal Singh Charak, Bachan Lal and others were also present on the occasion.
