Joint Action Committee highlights various issues, demands of employees

JAMMU, June 21: A Joint meeting of J&K Govt Employees Joint Action Committee(R) was held here under the Chairmanship of its State President Babu Hussain Malik to discuss various issues of the employees.
EJAC(R) fully supported long pending demands of regularization of all daily wagers in different departments and corporations, NRHM, Khidmat Centre, Asha workers, Anganwadi workers and Helpers, Contractual teachers and Lecturers, Paramedical staff, MGNREGA employees, Data entry operators, Rehber-i-Taleem, Rehber-i-Zirat, Rehber-i-Khel, Rehber-i-Janglat employees, Contigent paid workers and Cooks, SBM employees, employees of water testing Laboratories etc.
The meet also demanded removal of pay anomalies of Clerical cadre/amendment in SRO-333, restoration of two additional increments on clearing Secretariat Assistant Examination course, readdressing long pending issues of Non-Gazetted Accounts employees, grant of increment bar, change of designation, 5 days a week as per the Pattern of Civil Secretariat. revoke SRO-24 , release of pending installments of DA, settlement of long pending cases of SRO-43.
Employees strongly opposed proposed privatization of Power distribution and installation of Smart Meters in J&K . The Action Committee also demanded implementation of Minimum Wages Act in J&K on the pattern of the Central Government, restoration of 4G internet, enhancement of Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 3000 and settlement of all long pending issue of employees and workers.
