JAMMU, Jan 30: Observing the martyrdom day of Mahatma Gandhi here today at Dewan-E-Aam in Mubarak Mandi, Manish Joshi was awarded Mahatma Gandhi Seva Puruskar by Lt. Governor, Manoj Sinha and president Gandhi Global Family J&K, Padamshree Dr. S.P Varma for his outstanding contributions to the nation.
Joshi is a Post Graduate from Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne and is one of the Trustees of Lawrence Public School, Jammu.
He is also one of the founding members of Gandhi Global Family, which has been promoting peace and harmony globally.
Joshi has been instrumental in engaging with international partners in propagating multifarious peace initiatives.
He had a significant contribution in Gandhi-Mandela Cricket Series for special children and he was also involved in the pilot project for involving multiple educational institutions to fulfil United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Joshi also organised free medical camps during COVID 19 pandemic.
On this occasion rich tribute were paid to Mahatma Gandhi by various dignitaries, officials, prominent citizens, educationist, students and others at Dewan-E-Aam, Mubarak Mandi, Panjtirthi.
