JAMMU, Nov 22: A special number of “Tehreek-e-Adab”, a quarterly journal published from Varanasi, has published a special number on the life and works of Prof Shohab Inayat Malik, HoD Urdu, University of Jammu.
Besides it has published Research papers of young writers of Jammu and Kashmir in the recently published issue. The special number of Tehreek-e-Adab” was today released by Prof R D Sharma, Vice Chancellor of University of Jammu in the presence of galaxy of writers, students, scholars and civil society members.
Prof Masood Siraj, Head Department of Urdu, Mysore University, presided over the function while Prof Saheb Ali, HoD Urdu, Mumbai University graced the occasion as guest of honour.
JU VC lauded the contributions of Prof Shohab and described him a reputed Urdu writer of the country who had made the Department of Urdu the most vibrant department of University by organizing academic and literary activities.
