SAMBA, July 7: In a drive against power theft, Jammu Power Development Corporation Limited (JPDCL) today disconnected 25 illegal connections in Vijaypur Town, Jakh, Gho-Brahmana, Gho-Rakhwalan and Rara.
The drive was conducted on the directions of Executive Engineer, Electric Division Vijaypur (JPDCL) B N Bhandari by a team of officials of Electric Sub-Division Vijaypur led by Assistant Executive Engineer Yash Paul with the assistance AEs, JEs and other field staff.
During the drive, 65 connections (25 commercial and 40 domestic) were inspected out of which 25 illegal connections were disconnected on the spot. Besides, load of 70kw was regularized with penalty of Rs 1.6 lakh approximately was imposed in the next bills of the consumers.
