JAMMU, Mar 6: Jammu Province Peoples’ Forum (JPPF), an amalgam of more than 50 social, commercial and other organizations today warned against politicising the murder issue of minor girl of village Rassana Hiranagar and demanded a CBI probe into the matter to unravel the facts in this regard.
Addressing the press conference here, the working president of the Forum , M S Katoch said,  ”we are shocked on the incident and surprised that such a heinous crime was committed by someone who is not identified yet, we all condemn the brutal act and whosoever has committed  it, he should be dealt  with the iron hands.”
“This kind of act is intolerable and we all extend our whole hearted support to the Government but on the other hand we are also astonished to see that how this is being politicized by the different entities for their vested interests,” he added.

He said that almost a month has passed but still the agencies are not able to find out culprit and the kind of environment which has been created in the village cannot be explained in words, just imagine the innocent people of that village were under a severe threat that they left their houses in search of secure place.
He asked the Government to immediately hand over the case to the CBI for fair and transparent enquiry to bring justice.
He said “J&K being a sensitive State and in order to keep the social fabric intact we need to remain vigilant and the politicians of the State should behave more responsibly as any wrong statement can create chaos,. We should desist from making Rassana  of J&K like Kerana of UP’’, he added.
While strongly advocating for CBI p[robe into the murder case, Katoch said CBI is an autonomous body and probe conducted by it will have no doubt in the minds of the people of any community. So in order to bring justice the Government should immediately handover the case to CBI for fair and transparent probe.
