NEW DELHI, Feb 6: Sajjan Jindal-led JSW Steel has posted a 49 per cent growth in crude steel production at 13.85 lakh tonnes in January 2017.
It’s crude steel production was 9.27 lakh tonnes in the year-ago period, JSW Steel said in a BSE filing.
Among the rolled products, the flat products registered a jump of 38 per cent at 10.31 lakh tonnes and long products 18 per cent at 2.79 lakh tonnes in January 2017.
Moody’s Investors Service had last week upgraded outlook to stable from negative on JSW Steel citing sustained improvement in operating and financial performance.
JSW Steel is a part of diversified JSW Group, which has presence in steel, energy, infrastructure and cement. JSW Steel has an installed steel-making capacity of 18 MTPA. (PTI)
