JTC demands payment of cash relief before Feb 15

JAMMU. Feb 6: A meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC), Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) and JKPCC Migrant Cell was held today under the chairmanship of its president, Shadi Lal Pandita at Jagti township near Nagrota.
Addressing the meeting Pandita urged the Government that cash relief be given to migrants for the month of February before 15th of this month in view of Maha Shivratri festival falling on 17/18 of February.
Pandita has appealed to the Lieutenant Governor to release the salaries of all the package employees before February 15 so that they can also celebrate Maha Shivratri.
He said that the Kashmiri relief holders are on sit-in protest for the last two and half years demanding hike in the monthly cash relief from Rs13,000 to Rs 25,000 per family per month which should be enhanced immediately.
He also demanded that one Government job should be given to such families whose educated unemployed youth have not been given any Government job till date. He demanded rehabilitation of over aged migrant youth and permanent settlement of displaced pundits in three townships in South, Central and North Kashmir.
