JTC, SKF activists’ protest enters 37th day

JAMMU, Nov 7: To turn the attention of Government towards their plight the activists of Jagti Tenement Committee, (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) on the 37th day of their dharna at Jagti township today held a semi clad demonstration under the chairmanship of it’s president Shadi Lal Pandita.
The protestors ringing the utensils and with Tricolors in their hands said that with this unique type of protest they want to awake the Government from deep slumber and pay attention towards the problems of hapless Kashmiri migrants who are leading an exiled life in different parts of their country for the last 32 years now.
Pandita accused Government of not taking effective steps for the return and rehabilitation of displaced people to Valley. He accused BJP of deliberately thwarting the return process of displaced people.
He demanded immediate restoration of land and other property of migrants in Valley besides protection to land of religious places and shrines.
The  general secretaries and secretaries of the  organization namely Sunil Koul,  Mithan Pandita, Jitendra Raina, Javaid Ahmad, Charan Jeet Singh, Gurmeet Singh, S L Kar, Sunil Bhan, Shuban Raina, Rakesh Koul, R K Tickoo, Vicky Hakoo, Surinder Zutshi demanded  enhancement  of monthly cash relief from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 per family and also jobs for those families which have no Government employee.
Rakesh Ambardar chief organizer demanded compensation suffered during 32 years in shape of crop and fruit by the displaced people.
He also reiterated the demand of settling displaced Pandits in newly carved three satellite townships in erstwhile districts of Anantnag, Srinagar and Baramulla.
