JTC, SKF continue protest

JAMMU, Sept 20: The protest sit-in by Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) being held at Jagti township entered 352nd day today.
The protest was led by its president Shadi Lal Pandita.
Addressing the protesters Pandita said the agitation will continue till the demands are met. He demanded release of monthly cash relief of the migrant relief holders, which has been stopped since month of August.
Pandita demanded increase in the monthly cash relief of relief holders from Rs13,000 to Rs 25,000 besides settling of the long standing issues of exiled Kashmiri Pandits.
He said a package of 20,000 jobs for unemployed youth should be announced and preference be given to those families which have no serving Government employee. Besides, on spot recruitment in camps and non camps be held to recruit migrant youth in the police ,compensation and with out interest bank loans should be given to over aged youth and 32 years loss of properties should be compensated to farmers of the community and orchardists.
