JAMMU, Mar 14: Criticising both Central and UT Governments, Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) whose indefinite dharna at Jagti township entered 164th day today warned that the protest will continue till all the genuine demands are met.
Addressing the protesters, Shadi Lal Pandita president JTC, SKF and convener, PCC Migrant Cell said that the cost of diesel, gas ,petrol and other food items has gone up due to which the relief holders are worried as they are unable to feed their families on a meagre cash relief in these days crisis.
Pandita said that today We have been protesting for164th days while the State and Central Government is totally ignoring Kashmiri Pandits. He said our protest sit -in will continue till our demands are met and demanded that the monthly cash relief should be increased from Rs 13, 000 to Rs 25,000 at an earliest. Pandita said that a Government job should be given to those families which have no serving Government employee. To meet this demand the Government should announce 20,000 employment package for migrant youth and also recruitment drive for them be launched in the police, BSF, CRPF and other forces.
He also demanded settlement of Pandits in three townships in Kashmir Valley.
